God Is Testing Us

Oh what joy it gives me
When Your presence is all around thee.
You are omnipresent
For sure I can even smell Your scent.

Why is then still I sin ?
Do You sometimes leave the scene ?
No , my child ever !
I am watching your moves forever.

God is always testing .
He leaves people to decide on things .
How then will we learn
All good deeds everybody must earn.

That's why you must pray
To be good and keep temptations at bay.
In the end it's our decisions .
To keep His image focus in our vision.

Bread Of Life

' I am the bread of life. Jesus ' statement in today's gospel is a familiar one ., but has there ever been a saying so difficult to fathom ? Bread is the most basic of foods , a food which sustains human life . The ancient custom of breaking bread commom along all peoples, is profound mark of hospitality and togetherness: bread is not only necessary for sustenance of life , but, when shared, becomes a symbol of community, of communion with one another. Then there is that leap of faith : at the eucharist , bread becomes the body of Christ.
